Patch #16 - Emotes & Riding Club Challenges

This update brings us a few new exciting features - new emotes as well as weekly Riding Club challenges - alongside feature improvements and lots of bug fixes!

New Content

Riding Club Challenges: Work together to complete weekly Club Challenges. At the end of the week, for each challenge completed, every riding club member will earn ribbons as a reward.

New Vendor - Valeria’s Riding Club Shop: Valeria is a new shop vendor located inside the Equestrian Center Cafe. Players can exchange ribbons earned from Club Challenges for hoodies, legwraps, and more.

Quality of Life Improvements

Compendium Improvements: We have improved our Compendium feature to include more useful information.

  • New Section - Horses: A new area in your Compendium is dedicated to all of your owned horses. This section lets you see their level, stats, and needs.

  • Updated Section - People: Now you can check which gift is each NPC’s favorite!

New Emotes: We’ve added some new emotes that you can use to express yourself.

  • Sitting on the Ground: Admire the view throughout the island by sitting directly on the ground!

  • Horse Pet: Show your appreciation for your lovely horse by petting them while standing!

  • Sitting on Chairs: Relax on the benches and chairs inside restaurants and by the pier.

New Global Chat Channel: This update introduces our new cross-server Global chat channel which lets players communicate with each other regardless of which server they’re playing on.

  • Switch Active Channel: You can switch between Global, Server, Group, or Club channels by pressing tab.

Art Polish: We are always improving our art, working on optimization, and incrementally improving performance. Here are some of the larger changes coming in this update…

  • Set Dressing: Several locations around the island have been improved and spruced up such as the Bakery, Dwight’s Farm, and more.

  • Animation Polish: We’ve continued adding dialogue animations in several conversations throughout our chapter quests. This means some NPCs will look less wooden while talking to the player.

  • New Ride Island Icons & Screenshots: We’ve updated the icons and loading screenshots of the Ride Islands; now it is easier to see what each one looks like.

Lighthouse Crown Chase Adjustments: We’ve adjusted the number of crowns to be three total for the Lighthouse Isle Crown Chase event. This change is to make it so that everyone has a fairer chance of capturing the crown across the larger map.

Stamina Recovery in Races: Now when you perform a perfect jump with your horse in a race, you’ll receive a small stamina recovery boost. This change helps Agility become a more useful stat for players.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that required the player to press a button to complete the loading screen when logging into the game.

  • As part of our ongoing process of improving performance, we have released further fixes to mitigate server lag for players.

  • Continued to improve Alderwood Island’s navigation mesh to stop inappropriate jumping and help prevent players from becoming stuck.

  • Fixed several locations that were not triggering sound effects including Crystal Lake, gates opening, campfires, and more.

  • Fixed a visual bug that caused specific flowers and reeds to snap abruptly when approached by the player.

  • Resolved a quest blocker that prevented players from calming the 4th horse at Mike’s Farm.

  • Adjusted night time light exposure to make it easier to see surroundings, especially when standing under a light at night.

  • Improved the quest navigation feature to prevent unnecessary detours.
